Friday, the one day of the week in winter where I get to go home before it is pitch dark outside! Although I’ve enjoyed taking photos around the town in the dark, tonight it was nice to be able to take a couple of shots as the light was fading from the sky.

A quick walk out along the South Head produced the shots below. The sea was quite rough with waves hitting the harbour wall quite fiercely, regularly sending water skywards. I met one brave soul, who told me he was from Kelso, standing on the harbour wall as the waves were landing, clicking away with his compact camera – amazingly he stayed dry! I bet I wouldn’t have if I’d tried that!
