These recent sunsets are keeping me from getting the much needed beauty sleep I’m used to. Last night I had promised myself I would resist the temptation to go out and photograph another sunset, but after some discussion with Michael a trip along the Wick River seemed in order.

The hazy sky made for some fantastic diffused red light from the setting sun. I normally hate fog as it can be a right sunny-day-ruiner on the east coast of Caithness, but last night it was a godsend as it slowly gave way to the light of the setting sun.
