A couple of long exposures from the weekend
Posted: July 15th, 2012 | Tags: Caithness • Photography • Tutorials | Posted in: PhotographyI’m really starting to like long exposure shots, and the 10 stop ND filter seems to have been a great investment.
Here are my two favourite photos from the weekend.
Dunbeath River
This shot was taken using the following settings:
- Exposure: 68 seconds
- Aperture: f/16.0
- Focal Length: 21 mm
- ISO Speed: 100
I used the B+W 10 stop ND filter and a Canon EF 17-40mm f/4 L USM lens.
Stack O’ Brough, Hempriggs
This shot was taken after a somewhat steep climb down the grassy slopes of the cliffs at Hempriggs, Caithness – my thighs are still recovering :)
I was using the following settings:
- Exposure: 9 seconds
- Aperture: f/11.0
- Focal Length: 17 mm
- ISO Speed: 100
I used the same B+W 10 stop ND filter and a Canon EF 17-40mm f/4 L USM lens.
All good fun :)
